A couple summers ago, we encouraged Grace members to take a Flat Jesus along with them on their summer adventures. Flat Jesus is based off the kids book, "Flat Stanley", about a boy who becomes flat. One of the benefits of being flat is that it's easy for him to go places.
Summer is a time when we do a lot of traveling, so we thought it would be fun to send you off with a Flat Jesus. You can start by getting a copy of Flat Jesus. We hope that you'll decorate him as you see fit and bring him with you on your trips. Flat Jesus is a good reminder for all of us that Jesus is with us wherever we go. Psalm 139 tells us, "If I settle at the farthest limits of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me and your right hand hold me fast." Before Jesus ascended to heaven he left his disciples with a reminder of his constant presence, "I am with you always, even to the end of the age." As you play, as you visit, as you travel Christ is with you. As you enjoy the beauty of the summer, Christ is with you. We hope that you'll always remember that, and that you'll take pictures of yourself with your Flat Jesus and send them in to the office ([email protected] ). We'll share them during the announcement slideshow before the service, and on Facebook, too, if that's okay. We hope you have a safe summer that is filled with the love of Christ! - Pastor Heidi Comments are closed.
