Paint and Sip
Wednesday, February 19th: 6pm-9pm
This event is all about having your inner child come out and play. We will delve into the joy of abstract painting. Bring an open mind and leave your inner critic at the door. The focus of this workshop is on having a good time, playing and awakening your creativity. Together we will craft vibrant, energy-infused images with acrylic paint on a 12 x 16 canvas.
Carrie will demonstrate her abstract style throughout the class and provide suggestions to help you develop your painting skills and your individual style. This event makes for a fun date night or friends night out, no prior art experience needed!
All supplies are included as well as light refreshments - $75

Artist Bio: Carrie Bury
For as long as Carrie can remember, creativity has always been a passion in her life. A self-taught abstract expressionist artist since the late 80’s. Carrie was drawn to this type of painting when she realized that just by observing the colors in the paintings her senses and mind were stimulated and stress levels were reduced. Standing in front of a blank canvas can be very intimidating but also very exciting because of the endless possibilities waiting to be explored. Carrie says what matters most is how you feel during the creative process; how it activates your brain and feeds your soul. You can see Carrie’s artwork hanging at the Cedarburg Cultural Center, Mequon’s Frank L. Weyenberg Library, and Alive and Well Naturally in Thiensville. |
