Thanksgiving is not a Christian holiday, but giving thanks to God is a big part of being a Christian! Come to church at 7pm on Wednesday, November 23 for our annual Thanksgiving Eve service, followed by a pie social. Before you gather with your families around your tables at home, gather with your church family to be fed at the Lord's Table. It will be a special night as some of our young people will be receiving communion for the first time at this special service. Special music will be provided by our Jubilation Choir.
Please bring non-perishable food for a special offering. The food will be donated to Family Sharing in Grafton. Giving thanks and having pie? It's going to be a great night! This Saturday, November 12, from 8-2 is Grace's Craft Fair. We have over 20 vendors signed up to offer their handmade crafts and items with you! Each vendor is donating an item for a silent auction, the proceeds of which will benefit the Adult Literacy Center of Ozaukee, a mission of our congregation. Used books will be for sale, with the proceeds benefitting the Adult Literacy Center as well. There will also be food sold to benefit our Grace Youth trips (donuts and coffee in the morning, hot dogs or BBQ chicken and chips at lunchtime). This is an exciting new opportunity that we are able to do as a service to our community and to help support our missions. It's one concrete example of how our new building is enhancing Grace's ministry and service. It's also an excellent chance to invite people to come and see what Grace is like, and to get a glimpse into how we work and what's important to us. So make sure to spread the word among your family, friends, and co-workers! |
