Our Story
In 2015 Grace Lutheran Church will celebrate its fiftieth anniversary. We have come a long way since Pastor Jerry Petersen went around knocking on doors inviting people to check out this new mission church on the northwest side of little Grafton.
Through the years thousands of people have been blessed and enriched by the ministry done in Christ’s name by the members of Grace. These years have seen many changes in our congregation: new worship services, the advent of Meg’s Mission, the creation of the Adult Literacy Center and the creation of a second pastoral position. Many of our ministries would not have been possible without our building programs in 1974 and 1988 and the remodeling of the worship center in 1996 and the offices in 2007. God has blessed us as a church.

Special Congregational Meetings on March 22 and March 29
Two special meetings of the congregation have been called to be held after worship services on Sundays, March 22 and 29. Both deal with important information and decisions to be made concerning our "Grow In Grace" building program.
At 11:30 a.m. on March 22 the church council and Building Committee will share with you the plans for our building and expansion project. They will tell you what is being planned and why the building plans were designed as they have been. They will also discuss the cost of the project and preliminary plans for how we, as a congregation, will pay for the work to be done. There will be time for you to ask questions about the plans.
After the Palm Sunday brunch on Sunday, March 29, a second congregational meeting will be held to vote to approve these plans and preliminary funding proposals.
Your attendance at these meetings is important to the future of our congregation. A great deal of work has gone on at Grace these past several years leading us to this important decision. If we approve the project work on our building expansion and remodeling can begin later this summer.
