It’s Reformation Day on Sunday! Wear RED to Worship!
This Sunday, October 26th is Reformation Day. It’s the day we Lutherans remember and celebrate Martin Luther nailing the 95 Theses on the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany.
Luther’s theses challenged the church’s practice of selling indulgences which promised the forgiveness of sins. Luther opposed this declaring that forgiveness of sins comes through the death and resurrection of Jesus.
Sunday is a day of celebration as we remember Martin Luther and how his actions changed the world. Pastor Heidi’s message is “41,000 Flavors”.
Come and celebrate our Lutheran Heritage and wear some bright RED to worship. Red is the color of celebration in the church.
